What should I do with the reaction based on a delayed dose?

Recently, I had a bad reaction to my monthly (ofatumumab) Keismpta due to a 2 week delay dose so Iโ€™ve been feeling really bad all week. I was confused on my monthly dosage after taking my 3 loading does I forgot to skip a week so my doctor is treating it with some steroids, but Iโ€™m also a college student and I have to get some assignments done. Do you think itโ€™s reasonable to ask my professor for an extension on my assignment even though I didnโ€™t sign up for the accommodations for school. Also, I had a trip planned to go to Nashville to see my family member, but should I go now? Also Iโ€™m only 22 years old

Sorry you're dealing with this! Quick thoughts: yes, email your professorโ€”just say you had a medical flare, most will grant a short extension without needing formal accommodations. For Nashville, wait a day or two into the steroids to see how you feel before deciding. Take care of yourself first. ๐Ÿ’™

Shops great!

Does anyone else notice that after doing a day of an activity like going out with friends or family and the next day you feel horrible or your symptoms increase or show up again This has caused me to put a lot of things on hold, but then it increases my boredom

Yes, this is such a common one for me too. Doing too much one day can absolutely mean paying for it the next with fatigue, weakness, or symptoms flaring back up. It's frustrating because it makes you want to hold back from living your life to avoid the crash.

Hi, my name is Hayleigh

I am new to this group with me being diagnosed with RRMS last April at the age of 22. With just starting my medication in July, Iโ€™m excited to meet people who share similar experiences and educate myself on how to navigate this disease at such a young age.

I was diagnosed 12 years go. Although it was scary initially, Iโ€™ve learned so much and would like to share my knowledge. I always say, Iโ€™d rather deal with this disease in current times than in the 1900s, or even the 1980s. Welcome Hayleigh.
