6. Neurologists

How far do you all travel to see your neurologist? Mine is over an hour away but honestly worth it for the expertise.

Switched neurologists after feeling unheard for years. Night and day difference. Don't settle if something feels off.

💯💯💯

Timing

This could be stupid but I wonder if timing matters when searching for a new neurologist? Like is it easier to get in during the summer, or does winter make more sense with insurance deductibles resetting? Curious if anyone's had better luck with one season over the other. 🤔

Good question - it should matter on the season.

Dizziness/vertigo

Does anyone have non-stop dizziness, and, if so, how do you manage this issue?

I get this all the time too, mine's pretty much constant rather than coming and going. What's helped me most is keeping my head movements slower and more deliberate, sudden turns are the worst trigger for me. I also had a vestibular assessment done which showed it wasn't just MS related, so definitely worth pushing for that referral if you haven't had one. Hang in there, it's a horrible symptom to live with day to day.
