Something I've learned: it's okay to switch neurologists. I stayed with one way too long because I didn't want to rock the boat, but you need someone who actually listens and takes your day-to-day seriously, not just your MRI.

6. Neurologists
How long did it take you to find a neurologist you actually liked? Mine took 3 tries.
Hey everyone 👋 Just came across this and wanted to share - there's been some really encouraging research lately around high-efficacy DMTs being used earlier in the MS journey rather than the traditional escalation approach. Has anyone's neurologist brought this up at a recent appointment? Would love to know if others are having these conversations! 🧠
Do you bring someone to your appointments? I started bringing my wife and it completely changed how much I retain afterwards. Wish I'd done it sooner.
I've been going solo and honestly this is making me reconsider. I always leave feeling like I only caught about half of what was said, and then I'm Googling everything when I get home.

Three tries is actually pretty good honestly! It took me 6 years to find mine. There's something so specific about what you need from an MS neurologist.
