Multiple Sclerosis
I am Delwar Hossain Dipu, from BANGLADESH.
Patient Wanisa Hossain Doaa is my daughter had noticed right upper limb weakness for 7-8 Day on mid July 2024.
After one week her left side was also affected with hemiparesis. After MRI of brain with contrast provisional diagnosis was demyelinating disease or multiple sclerosis. Then The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University-(China) diagnosed as a multiple sclerosis patient.
They advised tab fingolimod for multiple sclerosis.
But for the last 8 months she was taking prednisolone 20mg two times daily. The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University-(China) advised for gradual withdrawal of prednisolone by 5mg per week.
But I couldn't collect medicine in due time. Now she is complaining of back pain.
Delwar - I’m really sorry to hear what Wanisa is going through. It’s good she has a diagnosis and treatment plan. If there was a delay in tapering the prednisolone, definitely let her doctors know — especially with the new back pain. You’re not alone, and we're sending strength and support to both of you.
