When will I be able to be stress free?

To be sick with this M.S. illness and have to attend to a family member that has dementia is really really hard and stressful. My sister's do what they can to help but they can't always be around because they are teachers and I am here for the majority of the time making sure she's okay and taken care of as well as making sure I'm getting seen about also. I feel at times I can't catch a break mentally, emotionally,or physically and it's weighing down on me. I know that father God will always see me through. What can I do to gain peace for myself?

Sending you so much strength - what you're carrying is genuinely heavy, MS and caregiving for your family member at the same time is a lot for anyone. A few things that might help: try to get specific with your sisters about small chunks of time you need covered (even a few hours), look into respite care if that's an option in your area, and don't let your own appointments slip down the list - your health has to stay part of the equation too. Your faith clearly carries you, and that's beautiful. But even the strongest faith needs some backup - please don't be afraid to ask for more from your sisters or look into outside support. You deserve care too, not just the person you're looking after. 💙
